A core part of our Luxury Care is the wellbeing activities and leisure programme.
We recognise the importance of being cognitively and physically active.
Our dedicated wellbeing coordinators ensure varied activities are focused on mind, body, soul and spirit. This is central to the person-centred approach we adopt and so they make sure something stimulating is on offer almost every day.
All are encouraged but no one is made to take part.
Our principles in providing wellbeing activities and leisure include encouraging independence, enabling choice, preserving dignity, celebrating individuality, nurturing the spirit and involving family and friends.
Of course, it’s entirely up to you how you spend your time and how many activities you choose to join. But, whether you’re a social butterfly or the cat who walks by himself, you’ll never be short of ways to pass your time enjoyably at Harwood House.
My mother feels comfortable, secure and well cared for. She also enjoys the social contact and the excellent activities programme. My mother’s quality of life at Harwood House is considerably better now than it was when she was living alone in her own home.Son of a resident
My mother chose a room with a view over fields. She enjoys the wildlife in the garden, especially watching the birds. The staff at Harwood are excellent, they enjoy what they do, engage well with residents and have a good sense of humour. There are often lively discussions and a good range of activities.Daughter of a resident
I was so impressed with the cleanliness and the high standard of maintenance at Harwood HouseContractor
